I bought this saw as a project. Tore it down, everything looked pretty good. Gas stone looked clean , fuel lines were OK, sprk plug was a little iffy. fire was not blue, but more yellow. I put fresh REAL gas init and pulled the rope till I thought my arm would fall off . It was hittin and sputtering but would not run. I made me a tool to adjust the carberator out of a used chopstick and an electrical connector adjusted the LOW side and it fired right up . Let it warm up and adjusted the HI side. Put the bar and chain on filled with oil and went and cut a big tree out of my Brother-in-laws yard . That 'll give him and my wife a reason to talk.

I use for approx. 4 minute and the chain needs sharpening. This is not right! Was the chain design to cut mesquite wood?? Have not used since sept 2016 What now?

Bought as a parts saw and upon opening the box it looks like everything is included. I have worked with chainsaws for over 30 yrs. so although not a mechanic I am not a newby. I filled the saw with poulan 40:1 mix and bar/chain oil. pushed the primer bulb until I saw gas in the bulb and then 3 more times. Set the choke and pulled the starter handle 3 or 4 times and it popped a couple of times pushed the choke in and pulled starter rope again, this time it ran though very rough, shaking very bad except at about 1/2 throttle. Adjusted the carb L setting until mtr. ran smoothly. I have cut about 3 cords of mixed hardwood and ran almost a gallon of gas through it without a problem. I would say it is equal in power to my 41 husky which is a very good saw. Thanks to Vminnovations-deals for a very good deal on this saw.Read full review

This saw work great on felling a tree approximately 36" diameter. The chain that came with the drill was not sharp, but otherwise it work great. Not a fan of priming it every time, but starts easy and runs smooth once you get going. I would definitely recommend this product to any DIYer!

The saw was a little more worn than I expected and did not appear to be refurbished. The blade was in good shape but not sharp. The saw wouldn't start or run; and since it is sold as "for parts" that didn't surprise me. I used an electrical wire coupler to adjust the two carburetor pins and gave it fresh fuel and then it started and ran. I've only used it for one day of cutting firewood at this point, but I am happy with it. If you're handy with repair /maintenance of small equipment you might find a deal like this attractive. It was well worth the price to me.
