I bought the offset 10.5 degree AMP Cell because I was away from my clubs while traveling and needed a driver. I have Cobra M-Speed driver and woods at home. I put in a reasonable bid and won the driver. It's far superior to my M-Speed! I got 20 more yards on my first hit. I got the regular shaft not the senior flex even though I'm 68. This driver is very easy to hit. If I mis hit it I can still get a little slice but by and large it it goes pretty straight. I'm a person who buys drivers if I think they will get me more distance. This one has. It's a keeper!
I am 65 years old and have a 5 handicap. Been using a Taylormade Burner 2.0 driver for the previous two years. Tried a Cobra Amp driver at a demo day last spring and liked it, but didn't want to pay $300 for a new driver. Just bought a Cobra Amp driver on Ebay at a price less than half of what a new one cost just six months ago. After using it for a month I can report that it is 10 to 15 yards longer and a little straighter. I haven't tried to adjust the head as the neutral position works great. I got it in a regular shaft and a good hit for me goes 230 - 240 yards.
I was swinging a Adams Speedline driver and was hitting it ok. But it had a stiff shaft and wanted to try something different. Thank GOD I did and lucky enough to try the Cobra Amp D. I was hitting long before but with no control,COBRA fixed that problem. I have played 72 holes and not one bad drive. This driver is a blessing. I had Adams driver and Callaway clubs. I now play only COBRA . Love everything about these clubs and a AWESOME DRIVER ! Straight and VERY LONG. GO COBRA you will not be sad.
I first played Cobra clubs in the late 90's. My first oversized Driver was a King Cobra back in '98. I have always like their clubs and have owned a few sets of them. I switched to Callaways for the last few years and now I am so glad to be back in Cobraland. Not only is this a sharp looking driver, (if you like orange) it addresses the ball beautifully and the ball explodes off the face even if you are not squarely impacting the ball. The dual roll face really does work and will definitely help to straighten mis-hits. I can say without exaggeration that this driver has added 30 yards to my drives. I've even had some less than avid players use the driver and it did everything for them that it did for me.
I like Cobra drivers. The Amp Driver has really good feel and the ball comes off the face hot. The shaft is a little weak for me. I would recommend this driver to any type of player. A low handicap player may need a stronger shaft.
