I am a 9 handicap golfer who was looking for distance and consistency with the driver. I bought the tour model because I like the 430c head, and the color is amazing. The club is telling at impact. If I hit a good shot I know it immediately by the sound and vice versa. It is not very forgiving but that is ok (I use vr pro blades). It has a low trajectory with the stock shaft. I usually hit the ball with a high trajectory but with this club I set it at 10.5 and it goes on a nice line. The club is a great club for low handicap players who want to work the ball. Miss hits will cost distance as with any less forgiving club.
This is an excellent driver. I was coming off of the previous model, the VR Pro Limited Edition, which i actually really liked but i found the Covert to be more versatile. It's very easy to work both ways, as well as manage the trajectory up or down. The VR PLE, just always seemed to have a bit too much action, and didn't get as much lift. I suspect though that had more to do with the shaft/head combination. Whereas the Covert's combination of shaft and head just agrees more with my swing. In terms of just pure distance, i gained somewhere between 5-15 yards by making the switch. Not mind-blowing, but on some holes it can mean the difference between 1-2 clubs, which always helps. If you're a numbers junkie, on average i have a 108 mph swing speed, and a 275 yard average. All-in-all, i would recommend this driver to anyone. It has helped me manage my missed shots better, and given me a little bit more yardage, you can't ask for more.Read full review
I have been using the Taylor Made drivers for the past 4 years, before that I was using cheap drivers, I have a 115 swing speed so weight and feel is every thing for me. This drive has both the weight and solid feel I always look for it almost feel heavy until you swing it and then you are almost shocked when you connect with the ball. extremely smooth!

Nike is finally getting it. Maybe Rory's input is helping. Not the longest in the world, that belongs to PING G20. However, it is a RED beauty, the ball goes much, much straighter and the club can be altered and adjusted in loft. Some of this is likely attributed to the true X shaft I got. Most manufacturers, like Callaway, overstate the flex, i.e., a stiff label club is really a regular. I went out and got the 3 metal to match. The unique red grip is cool and the the overall appearance is stunning.
Easy to hit Forgiving When addressing the ball, the sleek look gives the driver confidence to swing freely with no fear
