Hard to beat this tuner. With declining FM quality in many areas the processing network in this unit does make a difference. Good reception and very low background noise. Brings out decent stereo separation on weak stations really clear. Just a couple dislikes I note on mine, lettering on the face is really hard to read, small and not much contrast, no back lighting of the controls, no AM reception on this model so take note of that, no memory with a power loss Antenna connections for cable or twin lead are easy to hook up. .These things are 35 years old and most of what's listed here are in good working condition, says a lot for the build quality. Some real bargains on these too.

My FM reception is poor due to a high rise across the street. The Carver tuner eliminates this issue.
