This chapter book tells a very realistic story that teens through middle school will be able to relate to. Who can’t recall one student in their class who always stuck out for being different? Everyone had one student in class that always seem to wear the same outfit every day. This storyline falls along that same line. It wasn’t until after she did not show up to school for a few days they found out the real reason. Because of their name-calling and constant ridicule, the pressure became too much for the girl to bear and the father made the decision to move the family away to protect his daughter. Then, feeling sympathetic and guilty to what their attitude caused, they felt compelled to make amends. But, it was too late. The family was gone.Read full review
