I've seen other, more expensive units that just didn't compare to this one. One great feature is the spring loaded retainer (the top part) which holds the phone very securely. I had my doubts until I actually received and used it, but the spring does in fact give a nice, tight fit. Another is the four side retainers. They are individually adjustable for width and you can also move them to accommodate different button locations on your phone. In my example, I had to move the top, right one down to the middle position (white slot you can see in the photo) so I had access to the power button. Something I never considered before purchasing. It was a pleasant surprise to see it could be moved. You'll need a mounting bracket in order to mount it to what ever it is you're mounting it to, but other than that, you're good to go.Read full review

Bought this to hold my Samsung S6 Edge on my FJR....found that the Maps on the phone is better than my Garmin Streetpilot for day-to-day navigating and needed a way to safely and firmly mount the phone to the bars where I could easily see it. This unit had a couple favorable ratings to I bought it. The S6 is a bit on the larger size and fortunately the grip arms are adjustable not only for width but also for position. This allows you put the arms in different positions so as not to obstruct any of the phone buttons....very nice. My phone is in a Spigen case and the unit fits it just fine. The tension is plenty tight and held it securely at triple digit speeds on my last ride. Seems very rugged and with a ram ball and an unused mirror mount on my clutch master cylinder....perfect location. Great product....no reservations about recommending it.Read full review

I bought this mount for using my phone as a GPS on my motorcycle, and it's worked perfectly. It does need to have the side retaining arms assembled and adjusted to your phone, and it does not come with a RAM ball to attach to your mount (but does come with the hardware to attache the ball). Easy enough to get the phone in and out of the mount, the multiple options for the side arms allowed all the phone buttons to be accessible in the mount, and no signs after 2 months of the phone coming loose. I mean, I haven't crashed the bike to check under those circumstances, but phone stays put under the normal loads of potholes and dirt road. I'd buy this again...

The ram mount works great but if you have a case on your iPhone you might need to slightly modify it to make it easier to use. I cut off a small amount of the top tabs that secure the phone now it slides in much easier

I changed from the Ram Xgrip to this holder and I couldn't be happier! With the Xgrip, I always felt the need to also use the rubber band to hold the phone. That was a lot more work to get the phone in and out! This is so much easier to use! The big thing is that with the Xgrip, it was difficult to get the phone just right where the arm didn't land on either the volume or the power buttons. I don't have that problem with this cradle.
