I purchased these irons to get back a little distance that I've lost with age, don't fall for the adds "use one club shorter than your playing partners" that's all hype it isn't true. Looks: these clubs are beautiful, the red against the black works very well. Weight: I can't tell any difference in the weight of these clubs when I compared them to my Mizuno JPX800 I saw no difference at all. Length, the shafts are longer, in fact too long. For instance the Gap wedge in the D100 is the exact length of my Mizuno 9 iron if that tells you anything. In my opinion this throws every thing out of kilter, how could they possibly fit everyone? Ball flight: they are touted as flying higher but further, just not true, in fact they make the ball fly too high, I was short on every shot without exception. Control: I like to work the ball but found it impossible to just draw the ball, instead it turned into a vicious hook, maybe the long shafts I'm not sure. Now Distance: sorry folks, just not there. They fly so high you lose any length you hoped to gain. Biggest Con of all: THE GRIPS:, When I first received these irons I was excited to see what they were all about, maybe they would bring back the confidence I'd lost in my game, well it didn't happen. But when I gripped an iron to give it a swing I thought "uh oh, I've been ripped off, I actually thought the grips were old and slick, well I was half right, even though they are brand new grips they are slick, have zero tack and I feel Wilson really dropped the ball here big time. Just a nice standard Golf Pride grip might have made a huge difference so these are terrible. I felt as if I had no control over the club while swinging it, as if it would come out of my hands so I'm sure that made me grip them too tight. Overall, if you can find them for a good price try them but don't believe the adds and commercials, they simply aren't true. I'm playing today, once again these clubs will be sitting unused. With my name being the same as this brand, you can imagine my level of bias. But let's just say this... these Wilson Staff D100 graphite irons are really good. I go through lots of clubs in search of a better scoring round. These D100's are as forgiving as any I have hit and the graphite shafts have given me distance back. More distance than any steel shaft and more than the half & half hybrid shaft. I am pleased. These will be in the bag for a while.

These irons are easy to hit, but yet workable. They carry about 5-7 yards longer than my previous set...so there was an adjustment period, but I am dropping a club on a lot of shots now...not a bad thing!
