I think this book is an eye opener to any parent out there. You never know who is living next to you. So you better make it a point to find out about the people living in your area. There is no such thing anymore as keeping to yourself. If your a parent it is your job to find out all you can about the people living next to you or around you. 18 years this child/women had no one to help her. Who goes unnoticed for 18 yrs. Reading this book made me realize its so important to know who is living around your home. Its also made me realize that the Justice Dept can only do so much. We have a duty to help out whenever we can. If we see something thats not right, one phone call can help someone out of a bad situation. This poor girl had no one. How many times did the people around his house see her and the girls, and no one did or said anything because they didnt take the time to know who lives around them. Its our duty as citizens to find out as much as we can to make sure this never happens again, and if someone feels that we dont have the right then what I say to them is, What are you hiding?Read full review
I bought this book because I was interested in the Jaycee Dugard story. This book went into more detail then everything we heard on tv. There was not one thing I disliked about the book, it was great I read it in less than a week. Great book I absolutely loved it!!
This was a story very well told and touching story but at the same time parts were just heartbreaking. I'm glad I read it as it answered some questions I had about the case.
Great book and very Interesting really enjoying reading this story. It's very sad but very informing.
