Everything was fine about the postage and piece, however for those looking to connect this PERC into a r710 you will need seperate cables to connect it to backplane :) - The one's that he has sent (which is clearly labeled) are if you want to plug this in, into each specifc drive individually! (This is on me for not looking up the cables and not the seller!)

    Works perfectly! Plug and play

    Plug and play! Works perfectly in my Dell R710. Some notes on getting it to work: -I needed a cable that my server didn't come with. The cable I found originally in my server had some sort of card edge connector, whereas the cable you need has the same connector as on the drive backplane. The cable I got to get it working was listed as "H700 SAS-A SAS-B SATA Cable for Dell POWEREDGE" -You cannot plug this into the storage PCI slot! Plug it into a regular PCI 8X slot.

    No complaints. I upgraded it to the newest firmware from Avago and run a 6-drive RAID 0 array with 128 GB SSDs. Pegs 2.1 GB/s with ease. :)

    Works out of the box.

    Works out of the box. I have it running in a Dell 710 on a Proxmox single bootable disk and rest of the disks and SSD cache in ZFS pool. You do have to modify the controller to select a bootable disk if booting off the controller. Card does not run hot inside this server. I am assuming because unlike white box built servers this server is designed with high efficient air flow across the entire server front to rear.

    Works great. Used the instructions to flash into IT mode on forums[dot]servethehome[dot]com/index.php?threads/dell-h200-flash-to-it-firmware-procedure-for-dell-servers.467/ , so I can run JBOD. Also found out and verified it works in several other R and T servers.

    PERC H200 for HBA

    Great card for FreeNAS. Had some problems with BIOS flashing, it was very picky on the motherboards, so I tried different ones and finally got it working on my very old Dell mobo. Runs good in Dell R510 storage slot without any problem.
