Though the panel carried the same model number as the original, the connectivity was distinctly different and required a much more invasive procedure to install. This panel should have been plug and play with the original wiring, but all associated wiring including the wiring for microphones, camera and IR illuminator had to be replaced. Fortunately the required cables were provided. Unfortunately, disassembly of the bottom of the laptop, removal of fans and heatsinks, and partial removal of the motherboard were required to support the new wiring harness. Unfortunately, after all the additional labor, the digitizer didn't work forcing another disassembly to check wiring conductivity of the cables. Cables were fine, digitizer in the panel didn't work. It wasn't a deal breaker for the client, but the time to chase down a defect and discounting for the loss of function made this a bad deal.Read full review
