If you a bunch of money to throw at drop in triggers and other high dollar parts, then you probably wont be interested in this set of springs. Most people I know who shoot, have more than one gun and triggers for all of them would add up $$ very quickly. This spring set, along with some time and patience and you can get a really nice trigger setup for pennies compared to a drop in trigger group. With this spring set and an evening smoothing and polishing, I was able to get just under 4.5 lbs consistently out of the MIL spec group. Let a couple of people shoot my rifle, because they were sceptical. I believe they went home and ordered a set for themselves. I highly recommend these for anyone wanting to get the most out of their rifle without dropping a ton of money to do it.

I had high hopes for this spring set, maybe too high of hopes. The set I received were not in, spec with the trigger spring coils angling inwards instead of a 90° angle, as it should be. Also, the set caused quite a few light primer strikes, roughly 20 out of 100rds, (Federal 55g). This was the very first time my rifle failed to fire a round, after thousands of successfully fired rounds. I confirmed my hypothesis of the spring set causing the issue by replacing the hammer spring with the OE spring, which provided a harder strike of the firing pin. No further issues arose after changing back to my original spring set.

if you decide not to go with a drop-in competition trigger, this is the next best thing. This spring kit, some polishing, shimming and an adjustable grip screw to reduce take-up, is the cheap and quick trigger upgrade. I would highly recommend having a trigger pull scale and measure before and after. Know how and why you will be using a firearm w/ lightened springs. IMHO, you don't want this on your home defense or general use AR. Also the normal warnings about knowing what you are doing before you start messing w/ a commercial trigger. Also the trigger spring in this kit has an off-set leg which works w/ the adjustable flat faced triggers I run (the ones w/ adjuster screws on the site) - have not found other spring that work w/ them.

If you have a decent trigger and if you don't just polish your seer's. Then change out these Springs you'll have almost identical to what feels like a $200 trigger. People like neither one guys Lee triggers but don't want to spend almost $300. What I do is I buy a Rock River trigger in Chrome which guiseley doesn't come in to match my nickel boron bolt carrier and stainless Barrel then I polished the Sears and then I had these Springs and POOF! It's like magic! You have what's equivalent to a $200 trigger!

I installed in in my Colt AR15 and took it to the range. Fired several foreign manufactured ammo through it, and did not have one failure. Some of the ammo tested were from Serbia, Chezc, Israel, PMC, Guatemala, Germany (MEN) and Philipinne. NO Russian stuff. One full 30 round clip were fired on each brand, no failure to fire. About 300 + rounds were tested. I didn't try the Russian stuff because the steel casing sometimes fail to extract from my ARs. The Colt hammer and sear surfaces were high polished and lubed and gave a 3 Lb pull. Took the springs out and installed it on a Bushmaster stock trigger (no lube) , and it gave almost a 5 1/2 LB pull. Installed it on a S/W stock trigger (no lube) and it gave a 4 lb pull. Electronic trigger measuring gauge from Brownell was used to measure. This is the best bang for the buck unless you are willing to spend over a couple of hundred bucks for one of the high dollar drop-in trigger groups. Don't think the pull weigh would change too much on my AR10s.Read full review
