Buying used computer equipment can be a risk, but it is much more comfortable when buying from a quality seller backed by eBay. This printer provides excellent output quality, doesn't have too big of a footprint, and was easy to set up for both my Windows and Mac computers. The 2025 is connected to my network so that all connected devices can use the printer. There are no drivers/printer software packages available on the HP website for Mac 10.9+ but the printer was easily installed using "System Preferences / Printers and Scanners" to add the 2025. On the other hand, the HP support site has drivers/printer software for Win 10 as well as older OSs. Very satisfied with this printer.

While HP's CP line of laserjets have a poor reputation in general, I had hoped that the CP2025, the more popular model in the CP line, would be usable. Unfortunately, there are a number of issues that prevent this printer from performing even light duty. First, each edition of the printer's firmware solves some issues, and then introduces others. For example, the latest edition firmware (20140702) resolves misc software issues. However, it also introduces fusing temperature and roller speed changes that will dramatically affect label printing performance, as well as color accuracy. Specifically, setting the print paper type to "label" changes reds to pink and neutrals to blue. I have confirmed this issue across multiple CP2025's with before and after firmware upgrade tests. Additionally, the CP2025 occasionally does not understand how to resume from a print jam. Search for "CP2025 stuck at printing document" for details of this very annoying issue. Despite the advice to set strange, obscure settings for calibration time, this issue can seriously derail a long print job. Finally, the CP2025 spends an inordinate amount of time on self-maintenance. In a 15 minute print job, I clocked 4 minutes were dedicated to the printer "cleaning" itself, especially after print jams. Truly, I wanted to like the CP2025 since it's cheap to own Unfortunately, it requires far too much babysitting to be a usable printer.Read full review

OK, I have read a lot of reviews on this printer before purchasing it and the reviews were so mixed and over a period of about two years that I was not sure what to believe. *** I did notice that the older reviews were critical while the latest reviews were more favorable to the printer. With that knowledge, I decided to go ahead and purchase the printer. *** It had pretty much everything I wanted for the price. I definitely needed a color laser with duplexing and the ability to connect it from my network and not through a stand-alone workstation; so for the price, this was it. *** I thought the speed for printing was pretty good and I didn't notice much difference between all B/W printing vs. color. *** I wish it had the ability to print 11X17 which is going to cost to have a laser that can print on that size paper. *** I would have also like for it to had an addition 500 paper tray as oppose to an additional 250 paper tray. *** Finally, the ability to print from a smart phone would have been nice as well. *** I bought mine new off eBay but the guy open the box and removed the CD and sample paper. Nonetheless, because I wanted to network the printer I was able to do so with out the CD. *** I will say that many said they could not get the printer to print on both sides of the paper. I had trouble as well but was finally able to get it to duplex after many hours of trying this and that. I ended up turning duplexing on in about two different places but I don't remember where. *** I do know that I had to turn in on via the printer and devices under windows and not during the printing of a file so that the preference was permanent. *** Oh yeah, I also like the fact that you can view the stats and make changes to the printer via your browser by typing in the IP address like 192.168.1.10 and what you see in the control panel of your printer you can see and change via you I.E. or Firefox browser if you network the printer. *** I think it took me about 15 minutes or less to print a color PDF file consisting of 236 pages that was duplexed or printed on both sides of the paper. *** I didn't give it a 5 star rating because it didn't make me go "WOW!" If it cost between $250-$300 then I would have given it a big 5 *** All in all I am very pleased with the purchase.Read full review
I've had one of these printers for years and absolutely love it. Unfortunately my last one died and the part is no longer available so this is a replacement for it. The print quality is excellent and these printers are great for home and small office use.

I purchased the same model printer over 10 years ago and it was great. I had just loaded up on $500 worth of toner this summer when it wore out. I purchased this rebuilt printer and it's working well too. I'm glad I was able to buy the rebuilt version since I have so much toner on hand.
