Obviously, I recommend watching at least a few episodes of a tv series before buying it on DVD. I personally watched the entire series via Hulu.com and fell in love with it there (Hulu.com is a very useful tool). Now onto the product. This is a sci-fi and horror anime that I have found to be quite extraordinary, I must admit. The best factor I'd say about this anime is that it has different religions coming together to fight evil. And the accurateness of each of the religious beliefs and their own unique way of battling the supernatural blew me away. I was astounded and overall enthralled by the idea. I wish there was another season, I really do but I guess at the time the show didn't take well. So, yeah, pretty bummed about that. But at least we have this season which has a thriller adrenaline rush feel to it. Each "new case" can be spanned out into (if memory serves me correctly) 3-4 episodes and each one ending on a nail biting cliff hanger. I really enjoyed this series and hope you do as well. And remember, just like any other horror film, it is best to watch these at night. Enjoy the nightmares! ^^ And just for the record I am not a horror genre buff. I hate horror films. But I found this series to be quite enjoyable. So don't cross it off your list just because it is of the horror genre. For more information / details on the plot line and the product, I recommend wikipedia's page on it. As far as I can tell, it is accurate. Just beware of spoilers.Read full review
I really enjoyed this anime series. So much that after seeing all of Ghost Hunt online, I knew I had to add it to my anime collection. The series is well rounded enough to be well received by both male and female audiences. Guys can enjoy the blood, gore, and action scenes while girls can have fun with the different character aspects and visually appealing characters. There is an easy, yet engaging plot. The characters are well developed throughout the series. My only reservations would be for the viewers to be a mature audience. There is blood and gore throughout Ghost Hunt. This is a murder, mystery based series. It is not a series for children. There is some disturbing content not suitable for a younger audience. Overall, I would suggest the series for any individual buyer or an anime related club event. Especially, for Halloween. You can have so much fun showing this at a Halloween party and bridging corresponding activities from Ghost Hunt.Read full review
It starts off with a group of girls telling stories in the dark and when the girls start counting 1, 2, 3 and than a male voice says 4. And the lights come on scaring the girls. It is the investigator from a psyhic research center. The 1st case is proven to be a non ghost incident. But does introduce you to all the main characters. The rest of the cases in this series has to do with Ghost and Supernatural events. It keeps you interested. It also keeps humor in it without it taking over the entire story
It is a great story and the Bloody labyrinth episode along with the final case are great spine chillers that have you on the edge of your seat for the next turn in the story.

LOve the characters, good development. Everybody loves a narcissist (apparently) smart handsome young man, that adults hate because is to good in what he does Ghost Solving Trouble. To bad there's no second season (well no marketing material). If you like Naruto or Bleach stay away these is not for you, these for more mature audience. You have to read the Manga.
