This recording bring together the best of the music from all the years the Cathedrals performed. It moves me to tears of both joy and sorrow. The performances of the Statler Brothers (How DO they sing that fast?) and the story George tells about the kndness of his fellow bass, Harold Reid, are not to be missed. And the performances and ttestimony of others like the Oak Ridge Boys, Guy Penrod, and so many others simply make one yearn for the days of ol' time gospel to return.
I think the Cathedrals were the best Southern Gospel group ever ! And this Farewell Celebration, while sad that it is a farewell from this exceptional group, is just absolutely awesome ! The songs are inspiring and their voices, as usual, are perfect together. I listen to it over and over and never get tired of the songs or the music.

I bought a VHS tape of the Cathedrals a while back. I found that each time I play it, even if I don't watch it, that I feel better, they cheer me up. So to test that, I purchased four CD's of the Cathedrals. I love to hear them sing, and they do cheer me, or make me cry sometimes. My only regret is that I did not get to appreciate the Cathedrals before we lost George Younce and Glen Payne.
they are one of the best ever

This is one of the best CDs ever produced by the Cathedrals. It was a sad day to see them retire.
