I had not read any of this author's books but decided to take a chance on buying this book. I really enjoyed reading it - the author balances well the plot along with lots of information about how the CIA and and other agencies interact with the president, congress reps & Senate members, the media, etc. Mitch Rapp sounds like a person we need in our real world. The book is a mixture of suspence, mystery and romance. How could it miss? I certainly recommend it!

Vince Flynn books belong right there with those of Lee Child, Brad Thor and Robert Ludlum. Action aplenty, but also able to create a real person, not just a hero. If you're a far left leaning liberal person this is not the book for you, as Flynn's personal feelings come through loud and clear throughout the book.
This is the 4th Vince Flynn book, and the 4th one that I have read. It is very good. I am reading them in order, and I love the fact that some of the characters continue in the next book. You don't have to read them in order, but I recommend it. This is an exciting political spy thriller, right up there with his 2nd book 'Transfer of Power'.
