This little amp is great for a beginner Ukulele player like myself. It's small and portable and has great sound quality. Can be 9V battery powered or plugged in with an adapter. It's small but powerful and fun to use!

OK, it was inexpensive, pretty cute and, would have been perfect for my need, except for one thing - the sound was terrible. Unless the column was turned all the way down there was a buzzing sound. When a string was plucked it was all static and fuzzy. Just totally unacceptable.

Well this is all mighty awesomeness in this little package. Not only is it a great amp but you can also use it as a passthru for listening to your sounds with your favorite headphones. Welll worth your money.

The Honeytone is a nice little, portable amp with good sound. I have run it with a pre-amp as well and use it with cigar box guitars. Its a good selling tool in places where a large amp just isn't feasible. No a ton of volume, but that isn't what it is designed for.

The Danelectro Honeytone is a fantastic practice amp. I have been using it with my 90s Gibson SG and I think it sounds great for what it is. It is powered by a 9-volt battery or a standard 9-volt pedal adapter. It even has a belt clip so you can be mobile with the thing. I’ve used this while relaxing in my bed in my studio apartment and I like how I can easily get low volumes to keep from annoying my neighbors. I’ve used this at louder volumes as well, having a friend jam with it while I play synths through studio monitors and the Honeytone really stands its ground. The controls are limited but effective. There’s volume, tone, and distortion. The clean tone is very clean but I’ve opted to keep the distortion up a bit and additionally drive this with a Behringer Super Fuzz. It sounds great for my needs but I’m more of a serious synthesist and just a casual guitarist. Hands down I would recommend this to anyone in an apartment. After all how loud can you go without disturbing your neighbors. I definitely expect to be using this for a long time.Read full review
