A great fun film that has been forgotten, but look fantastic on bluray!
I watched this film in cinemas when it was released in 2001. When I found out there was a bluray version from Olive Films, I jumped on the opportunity to purchase this film in high def. While I do enjoy the story and characters, I feel this is one of Barry Levinson's final films worth watching; further enhanced by the quality of the film on bluray, which is fantastic! Picture quality is so clean and clear, I think it may look better then when I watched it in theaters! Colors are beautiful and tuned just right. The cinematography of Dante Spinotti (Heat, LA Conifdential) really shines through on bluray. Sound quality is also good, but the picture is the best part on this release. The bluray is region locked to region A. I am not a fan of region locking films on discs. I actually buy ... I watched this film in cinemas when it was released in 2001. It's great to have companies like this pushing out films the studio think will never be worth making in mass quantities. Definitely get this on bluray if your a fan! -enjoy-
