I would recommend this book
I bought the Money, Banking and Financial Markets by Stephen G. Cecchetti just over a month ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available in this inexpensive book. Even though the book says that it is to be used out side the US it is excetly the same material at the fraction of the price.

Vague and Simplistic
I bought this book because it was required for a class but it turns out to be an overly simplistic treatment of all issues. It is one of those book that only speaks to general theories without specifics or anything that could be practically applied... in any situation. If this isn't for a freshman class, it's not worth your time.

This was exactly what I was looking for. I needed this book for an online class. The teacher does not give questions directly from the book. So this helps me save some money by buying and earlier edition of the book.
