First, let me start by saying that this is a very good product for the money. I just received my juicer a couple of weeks ago so I don't have a lot of experience with it yet and can't really speak to its longevity. After several uses though, the juicer feels solid when in use. It's also very easy to use. The leveraging mechanism is excellent and you can squeeze any fruit easily - no comparison at all with the little hand juicers, which serve their purpose but require a solid pair of hands and forearms. I also like the fact that the handle is centered in the middle; one model I researched had the handle to one side, which I didn't like. The centered handle vs. the side handle is important for stability of the unit. Any of these juicers are a little unstable and have a tendency to tilt toward you as you press down. This is not a design flaw; you would have to have a base that extends as far as the handle does to prevent this and this is not practical, especially in a home environment with limited counter space. Be careful the first time you use the unit and keep pressure on the back of the base with your other hand until you get used to it. One small criticism, but it's minor. The unit is extremely easy to clean; the metal strainer and dish that supports it just come right out and rinse off in a second. The small criticism is that the metal cone that comes down on the fruit and presses it against the strainer is not removable. Therefore you have to reach up and clean it, without clearly seeing the underside of the cone. It's never quite as clean as a good rinse under a faucet. A small criticism but I thought I'd mention it. One thing to note also is that these presses come in several different sizes, although I found it hard to figure out what sizes were what. This unit is excellent for lemons, limes, and small to medium-sized oranges. I haven't tried it with a grapefruit yet but my guess is that it might be a little small. All in all though, a good juicer for the money. I would definitely recommend it.Read full review

The machine looks like it would work well but has several problems. First the base is not heavy enough and wants to tip when pressure is applied on the lever arm. It also slides on granite counter tops which makes it unstable, and the press screen is difficult to lock in position and more often than not sticks to the plunger and and the orange peel which then has to be separated manually.

It's able to squeeze a lot of juice from oranges, which at this point is all I've used it for. My only gripe is that upon my first use when I went to pull the handle down the whole juicer leaned forward as it pressed the orange and spilled juice on my counter. The next orange half I placed my hand on the small space behind the lever mechanism as a counter balance. No more spills, no more mess. I rated 4 out of 5 stars because of that. I would place a small handle to help balance the unit as you squeeze. All in all I would recommend this piece and look forward to many years of use from it.

The single issue I find with the product is that it tips over when pushing down on the lever. The other critical reviewer made the same point, except the issue is not with it being not heavy enough. The issue is that the base doesn't extend forward enough. I can understand why the makers didn't make it extend further out - it would just look weird, but unfortunately it makes this product inconvenient to use if pressing something with any force.

I'm glad i purchased this. It's easy to use. I wish the base is heavier so it will not tilt when handle is pulling down. I have to use another hand to hold on the neck to prevent tilted.
