Fantastic book with some very talented and expressive women. Lydia Lunch and Diamonda Galas are among my faves of the pack

What a find! Although originally published in 1991, this is still as powerful and resonant as ever. Not for the faint of heart, this issue profiles extreme performance art and literature written by women, and provides a detailed interview with each of the incendiary artists (Lydia Lunch, Diamanda Galas, Karen Finley, etc.) explaining the inspiration and anger behind their work that propels them to perform work that is societally deemed "scandalous" or "inappropriate." Incredibly moving and graphic, each of the brave women profiled are unique and original in their own right. I only wish that more female artists could perform with such bravery.
fantastic source
