Well it's not exactly lightweight, but it's not too heavy either. For as old as it is, it's a great PC. I put Win10 on mine and it works flawlessly. My only issue is it gets pretty warm, and using it for drawing, it's not something you can just sit on your lap. Need a flat/hard surface or cooling mat to sit on if you want to do that! Otherwise love it. :)

Great computer if you do a lot of work outside or motion computing. Well built but bit heavy. Over all good product, especially if you like this type of computer.

I bought this as a drawing tablet. It's my second le1700. I love the size and the speed of the machine. My first le1700 is the dual core 1.2 ghz, this one is the dual core 1.5 ghz. I love that a machine that came on the market in 2007 is running the latest windows OS with no issues AT ALL!!! I run windows pro 8.1 64 bit on both my le1700's, I draw in sketchbook pro, manga studio 5, and adobe photoshop cs5 with no issues. I have 128gb zif ssd's in both units, and have upgraded the ram to 4gb. I've looked at the recent MS surface pro 2 and 3 and other than wanting a newer pc slate, I really have no reason to upgrade from these LE1700's. I absolutely love them! It's wacom digitizer enabled and works great! The digitizer registers 512 level of pressure for those of you that care. If it had write/touch technology like the newer slates do, I wouldn't upgrade until the machine just stopped working. I'd have no reason to. As is, I don't miss touch. The pen works fine. It has usb ports for mice/keyboards what ever. Motion also has a nice range of docks and keyboards for this tablet. After using this machine the ipads and android tablets just don't measure up in terms of productivity. I run every program on this slate that I run on my desktop, except for games. It is capable of running most of the games I have but I didn't buy it for that purpose. This is a very nice productivity tool that can also double as a media consumption tool.Read full review
I have several different computers-laptops, Android tablets, smartphones. The quality and functionality of these older Motion tablets is still outstanding compared to the newest offerings-I own 3, the M1400, LE1600 and now this one. I still am amazed that this level of technology can be purchased at such a low price. And unlike many new tablets-these can be adapted to just about any operating system currently available except Apple. I have installed XP, Vista, Windows 7 and various versions of Linux on mine. Drivers are still available from Motion's website-these are still supported. Certainly heavier and bigger than the new Android tablets-but also much sturdier-I am much less nervous about breaking one of these when travelling. Definitely worth having if you still use Windows or Linux OS.Read full review
