I assumed that the balls would be of higher quality as I ordered used Pro V1's on line from a different source before and things worked out well. Not so much here. Most of the balls included here were less quality than advertised. Some seemed to be "touched up" a bit and after only a few hits revealed nicks and blemishes that one would not see on a surface glance. They were all Pro V 1's thus the 2 star rating at least, but will not be ordering any on line again. I guess the... "you get what you pay for" adage ended up being unfortunately true in this case.

Yes, it is more than what you would pay for nearly all other balls, with a few exceptions of course but I am a fan. Maybe I'm drawn to them since I've shot my lowest scores ever with these balls. I'll be honest, I can't tell the difference off the tee or hitting a long ball though where you notice the feel is on chips and putts. Nice, soft cushion at impact, that smooth click with durability as well due to a urethane cover instead of surlyn.

I have been playing golf for 22 years and I have never played with a ball that is better around the greens than the Titleist Pro V1x. It is certainly not the longest ball off of the tee, but for pitching, chipping, sand shots and putting, it can not be beat. Most of the strokes in my rounds (12 handicap) are consumed by pitching, chipping and putting strokes. Playing with the Pro V1x provides me with the confidence that if I put the desired swing on the ball and make good contact, I will get the results that I am looking for. My wife, who normally plays with lower compression ladies balls, has begun using Pro V1x golf balls as well this year for an improved short game and lower scores.
