Good USB audio interface, but with caveats
The interface works as described, but there are issues with the Windows implementation of USB3 that causes strange digital audio artifacts (distortion) of the analog outputs. Turning off/disabling USB3 on my Dell laptop solved the problems. Have minor issues with ground loops when using headphones, cause not clear. This is a good portable audio interface, and is suitable for a home studio or other similar use. Be sure to update the firmware before use.

USB driver issues with HP USB 3.0
It has been a week of trying to get my brand new HP Elitenook 840 G2 to recognize the interface on USB. Finally had to disable USB 3.0 in the bios after multiple driver reinstalls that failed.

Hands down the most stable audio interface I have ever used. I just got done doing a pop tour with a bunch of large pop acts and the majority of them were using Ultralites. To the point all of my acts have redundant systems and I've never had to need to switch to the B rig. Stable. My old gripe is the rack ears. MAKE SURE that you have it locked in solid between two other items in your rack and that you also put the insert in between the two units in the back as well as the front. I've gone through a few rack ears.

Rock Solid, Low-Latency, FireWire/USB Audio Interface with Powerful Onboard DSP including British Parametric EQ, LA-2 Style Comp/Lim and Mixing!
This is a ROCK SOLID ULTRA LOW-LATENCY HIGH QUALITY (up to 192KHz) audio interface. I use it on an older Mac Pro Early 2009 that I hacked the EFI firmware and upgraded the processor (Used to be Quadcore Nehalem 2.66GHz stock) and now is a 6 Core Westmere 3.33GHz that runs 32GB of 1033MHz RAM and it runs FLAWLESSLY. I am used to higher-end audio interfaces such as an RME Fireface and a RME UFX. I didn't need the inputs anymore got used to the quality, ultra low-latency, reliability, onboard DSP and sound quality of higher end devices RME interfaces... The MOTU has been ROCK SOLID... The CueMix Software works well and the sound quality, ultra low-latency, onboard DSP like the British parametric EQ, reverb and especially the compression and leveling are top notch. It supports about 30 plugins half of which are demanding Native Instruments such as a few instances of Maschine 2, several Reaktor, and several Logic X 10.3.2 plugins on my OLDER MacPro 2009 (upgraded to a Mid 2010). No issues to speak of. Audio performance is better than expected and I love it. It also mixes without a computer. Can't go wrong with it.Read full review

These little audio router/controllers are perfect for routing multiple audio channels to different speaker pairs wherever you locate them. Arguably, these units are Audiophile quality (or pretty darn close, anyway) using a SPDIF interface box extends allows me to utilize 13 8" monitors plus subwoofer (headphone jack).
