The Homelite 150 started its production in the mid 60's. early ones were blue and later ones after 1972 were red. All mass produced to compete with the Mac's mainly and others. Your saw is authentic when i decrypted the serial number compared to other models of the golden year. More than 1000 have been made. Your serial 11391309... 1st digit..........made in 1971. 2nd digit........day 139 of that year. last 4 digits....saw number 1309. Sad part is that the bar is "not" original to this model and the chain should be gold also which will put doubt in the NOS state claimed in your auction. The ceremonial plate is original. Likely this saw has been used at one time and the bar/chain were replaced. The saw was re-painted which gives it less of a value but still a "nice to have" item for a collector.Read full review

I bought my Homelite 150 new in like 1984, and was happy to find an OEM (even though used) recoil assembly. It works great and matches the original in all respects.

When I received the package it was raining so the fed ex guy left it it the casual tilt so it didn't get soaked, witch I really do appreciate, but the on with no bar leaked bar oil over it.. I'm actually really exited to take it apart and clean it as it wont start at the moment. After alittle tinkering I got the full chainsaw up and running, sharpened the blade and cut me a hefty stack of fire wood! Haha Again thank you so much for this great deal and I hope the you the best in your future ventures 👌

Very neat toy. Sold along with the real 150s during a promotion period I believe in the early '70s. Toy uses a single D cell battery located under the muffler. Pull the starter cord and it engages an electical switch to start it "running". Pulling the throttle trigger moves a lever to engage a gear to make the chain rotate and a clicker makes sound like its running and cutting. Very nice older toy made during the time before everything came from China.
This little baby packs a punch with Stihl power and reliability. Always starts and say good bye to weight fatigue!
