I have mixed feelings about this purchase. I bought a Husqvarna 576xp chainsaw to mill some logs for my woodworking hobby. I picked the saw because I thought that this size and manufacture that would work out. Tons of reviews saying great things but about the auto tune version. This hasn’t been an issue with this saw, when it ran, it was great. The issue is that after running it an hour it stopped running. Turns out there was an air leak that destroyed the engine. Yes, it’s under warranty, the seller was great, the local service guy is great, but this shouldn’t have happened. They are not going to give me a new saw but they will re-build the engine – which frankly will be a new engine. Lessons learned – find a good local repair shop at the very least, keep all documentation, get the auto tune version, use great two cycle oil – not home depot stuff and hope for the best. I think I’d buy Stihl if there is a next time – I am hoping once they repair it that this is the last chainsaw I’ll need to buy.Read full review
Almost as much power as my old 394 xp but 1/3 less weight, cuts like a yippy skipper gone wild! i just couldn't see the extra 200 for a stihl. I have always been a husky man, and this saw is awesome, cut a bundle of slabs up in no time at all earlier today. But this saw is not for a novice or inexperienced user. pretty easy to start, right out of the box. needs a few more hours to get broken in, but accelerates extremely fast and holds the power. super price of 735.00 , powerhead only, i always keep my old bars and chains when i upgrade, old 36inch bar off of the old 394 fit perfect and the 576xp pulled my skiptooth chain without any problems right through 3 feet of oak slabs. mowers4 less, is a great vender with fast shipping.THIS 576 fed my big ego, perfectly!!!!!!
Husqvarna has always been the cream of the crop when it comes to Chainsaws .... Now no matter what size it is when you add "XP" to it .... I believe that's Swedish for BEAST all the XP models are heavy duty "Beaver's on Crack" they do nothing but chew up & spit out wood .... So if you need a good saw for piddling around the house Husqvarna Rancher is the answer .... If you want a good Stand up saw any Husqvarna XP .... Accept no Substitute

Much improved chainsaw over the older Mod 575XP. Do not recommend the Mod 570 or 575. The Husq. 576XP was advertised as an Auto Tune version. It is a non Auto Tune saw. So far, the 576XP is very satisfactory. Weight is fairly light and HP at 5.7. Large enough for most cutting tasks.
Great saw, works awesome
