Harum Scarum was Elvis' attempt to be like Rudolph Valentino and do an Arabian movie. It is ok, but the script was bad, sets were left over from the King of Kings. Very low budget. The Costumes were extras from Kismet. He plays a movie star who is kidnapped and thrust into a plot to assasinate the king. It's just not a good movie to recommend. Speedway I really liked. Elvis, Nancy Sinatra & Bill Bixby make for a funny story of a mismanaged racecar driver having to pay off back taxes.Nancy is the tax collector Susan Jacks, who goes after Steve & Kenny to put them on a budget to pay back the IRS. For the time this was a little gem to see. It has lots of race car action and good songs especially "Let Yourself Go" This is a good paring of Elvis and Bixby as they reteam after having done Clam Bake a few years earlier. The Trouble With Girls is unique as Elvis is only in a third of this movie. He plays a manager of a traveling chautauqua (a school that provides education combined with entertainmant). If your a fan of mysteries then you'll like this one as it's actually quite good. It has Sherrie North, Dabney Coleman, and Marlyn Mason. Elvis plays Walter Hale who is beset by myriad problems dealing with putting on a show in this little town and trying to solve a murder when a member of the chautauqua is accused. A little side note on this movie is that it sat in MGM for 10 years(starting in 1959) being rewritten, changing actors, changing companys until it was finally adapted by Arnold & Lois Peyser as an Elvis Presley movie in 1968.Read full review

The return of a Triple feature of Elvis the Pelvis! Reminds me of the old days of Drive-In-Theatre's. How I miss it. Very high quality movies compared to most others. Sound is great. No Skips. Totally, 100% nostalgic entertainment. Good clean action, dancing, singing. The acting wasn't really that bad. I'll watch them over and over again. I bought the triple movie to add to my collection of old time movies. I love it. I don't have to have cable or satellite, I have movies galore! Now I have one more DVD of Elvis and going to get more.
