Ok if you're looking at this item, you know what it is. So you know that the first 5 opening minutes of the film are worth every penny of the buy it now price. Quality details at the end of the review. But on the off chance you don't, allow me to elaborate. Without spoilers of course. For Joe Recruits: G.I. Joe, A REAL American Hero, is the world's most Elite and Capable Counter Terrorist group, is sent to a polar ice cap to test a new miraculous piece of technology that will solve the world's energy crisis(this is 1987 mind you). While there the world famous terrorist organization known as COBRA, G.I. Joe's arch enemy rears their head to steal the weapon. But not for their own ends. Soon you find yourself in the middle of a deeper and more menacing plot derived by an even greater Evil, that of course, threatens the very existence of man. All in all a great epic where good is pitted against an even greater evil, with plnty of surprises and entertainment along the way. EXCELLENT for children. All details and plot are explained and easy to follow. Not a "shoot em up, dumb down your kids with plenty of explosions" kind of film, they'll have to use their head once or twice. WHich is a good thing. For Joe VETERANS: If you haven't seen this, frankly I'm appalled, and rather sorry for you as you don't know what you're missing with that opening scene. It's just that good. It is a Story unto itself with a beginning and end, no lose ends here. It has that classic G.I. Joe show feeling to it, but it's a little darker, and it won't deliver in ALL the ways you might want it to. As it stands this was supposed to be "The LAST BATTLE", and if you think of it that way you'll be dissapointed. Instead think extra extra long episode with some really interesting and great surprises thrown in. Don't go into it expecting to see your favorite Joes' make a comeback, have a bunch of lines, or even have a part PERIOD. For EVERYONE: Great entertainment, AWESOME opening scene, EPIC soundtrack, lots of surprises, and lots of FUN! A captivating tale of True American Hero's that ANYONE'S child would be lucky to have as a role model. The sound blips out for 3-5 sec occasionally, but just rewind and play again for it to be there, strange but eh. There is a mysterious FOG around the edges of the screen throughout certain scenes, but they disappear when the scene changes. It's a dubb of a 1987 cartoon movie, we can hardly complain about this stuff. I highly doubt there is any difference between the Blue-Ray and a regular DVD, but as big a Joe FANATIC as I am, I had to go blue ray! I haven't seen the regular DVD version. My #1 pick would be the VHS! YoJoeCollector87 at America on line. Hunnicut4077 here on Ebay. Thanks, MattRead full review

This movie was well written and well drawn (especially for it's own era). Still one of my favorites and now that it's digitally enhanced it's even better.

They don't make them like this anymore! A classic GO JOE! Or COBRA! Whatever side your on, this will still bring back glorious memories of an 80's classic cartoon series HIT!
