For 30 bucks it isn't a bad sword. Is it the best sword you can buy? no. But for the price it isn't a bad sword. it's not a "TRADITIONAL KATANA SWORD". The blade and the handle are not removable, the Fittings are made of plastic. But overall a nice sword for someone who doesn't want to spend a ton but still wants something nice and "traditional" looking

The Katana came with loosing handle which prompted me to investigate how it was put together. The handle was a thin strip of steel and welded to a 1/4 bolt and secured by a tinny nut. So functionally speaking, cutting or chopping would destroy this sward in no time. If used for practice forms, the weight of the blade will cast 4 times of the weight in the form of stress to the handle. If the blade snapped, it could cause injury to the user. The best use is to set it up and place it on top of the fireplace mantel. Don't get me wrong. The value is excellent. Manufacturer should have extend the blade as part of handle. Sweet it up with quality wood for knife handles.

The sword is poorly constructed and quickly started falling apart. I mean a few shakes and the blade began shifting in the handle. On the flip side I paid so little for the sword that it would make an awesome wall piece but that it's.

For the price it’s what you’d expect. It’s for show in my sons jiu jitsu case, I wouldn’t recommend trying to chop a watermelon in half or anything. Just a nice looking show sword.

You get what you pay for, price is consistent with the quantity. Workmanship is fine, but edge on blade can be hand sharpened to a finer edge with a sharpening stone.
