I think, That This item, The Sabian, B8, 18"/45cm, Crash-Ride, Sounds Excellent! ...Especially, With The Rivets/Sizzlers, Attached to the Cymbal! First, let me give a disclaimer and say that I am a multinstrumentalist/composer, and drums are not my strong point. My skills are beginner-level as far as drums. I also am not as familiar as others about the ins and outs of the perfect cymbal. However, as a musician, I have a certain idea about "the sound" I attempt to achieve. And I have enough experience with bad cymbals to know when something like the B8 crash comes along that it is quite good for the price. I was looking for a deal, and got one that was a bit tarnished. I don't think it affected the sound in a negative way. I play rock music, by the way, and I'm too inexperienced on drums to specialize. It is certainly versatile as far as sound character. The bell is clear and well-pitched. Striking the edges differently (stick side and stick tip) produces progressively subtler results, so it functions nicely as a ride and in quieter situations. (In case you need to know, I use Vic Firth 7AN hickory sticks.) It makes a great medium-low pitched crash sound. And I using wire brushes makes a nice sound too (though only if you are very careful.) The only obvious drawback I see is that it is BIG. But then again I have very little space and a tiny setup.Read full review
The description of this cymbal is a little misleading; it is actually a crash/ride. But the B8 Pro is a decent sounding cymbal, good enough for live use certainly, and better than a lot of other budget cymbal offerings.

I have played this cymbal at friends houses. So i started looking for one. I got a great deal and love this sound for a rock session. It is great for a light ride or a heavy crash. throw a couple splashes in with it ita BAM!! You are a rock star!! I play it with my AA cymbals and it throws a little extra into the mix.
