The rack pictured is not the one you get. The pictured one has the lock bar on the right ,but the one you get has the lock bar on the left. I opted to keep the one sent to me because of the quality and good looks of the unit how ever I would have preferred the pictured one with the lock bar on the right! Still it is a good product. Just be aware that it is miss represented!!

This company should have studied at Ikea. This is one of the worst prepared kits I have assembled to date, and if not for my well prepared shop, I would probably have sent it back, but I like a challenge....LOL The wood is subpar with knots at some of the worst locations. Predrilled holes on outside were larger than the insert covers given and there were no or misaligned predrilled holes for parts that needed them the most (hinges), especially for the inexperienced. The design is pretty standard, but the pre-inserted lock bolt was so far off the mark, it made the lock unusable. The company that sold it seems ok, but this is a product I recommend avoiding unless you just like a challenge. good luck

This gun rack provides a very good presentation for your rifles. I found assembling the gun rack very easy and intuitive. It's a solid bit of furniture. I did substitute the wood screws provided for mounting the rack. I have dry wall on my walls so the one inch screws only went in as far as the dry wall. I wanted to have the mounting screws go into the supporting studs so I used 2" and 21/2" screws I had to assure the rack was solidly attached to the wall. I'm very pleased with the result.

The gun rack is working great for me and it was easy to assemble. I would caution future buyers that there are features of this gun rack they may want to take under consideration before they buy it. The two sets of cradles at either end are not level with each other. Obviously it was made for lever action action rifles where the cocking lever sits lower than the barrel. My rifles are all black powder long rifles and even setting the trigger guard up on the aft cradle causes the rifle to seem to point upwards. I solved the problem by sawing a piece off of the locking bar and placing it under the left foot thus raising the rack on that end. Now all my flintlocks are sitting level and straight. I am not using the locking bar as I found it not effective.
