Put this on a brand new Savage Axis 22-250. Bought mount & rings on eBay. Secured everything with nut locker. Sighted in within 5 rounds. Lens is clear. I have the CF500 reticle which is really nice. I don’t normally like illuminating scopes but this one does seem nicer than others . While riding 4 wheeler to stand, I hit something and the bike flipped sideways rolling onto my foot. Had to use the (unloaded) gun to help push bike off. I say all of this because the scope was barely off [1/2” low @ 100yds] when I tested it.

I bought this scope from ebay and considering its value and the power i opted for it , the scope is tough and seems high quality but the eye relief is poor and it is clear only at certain point only ,otherwise black shadows through the scope. I had bsa scope before on my muzzleloder and tried this scope than bsa but it is no good in clarity than bsa , there was no returns so had to keep it. Spend more and go for nikon.

Pros: - Cost - Illumination is very nice & crisp. - Focus adjustment is very nice & easy to use. Cons: - Objective Lens parallax adjustment is not very "stiff". (Hoping recoil doesn't cause it to drift) - Turret caps are cheap, punch/pressed aluminum rather than a machined cap. - No sunshade is made for it even an "add on" isn't out there. Summary: Decent scope for the money. No way you can compare it to a Leupold, Sightron, Zeiss, etc ...

I really wasn't too sure about this scope with the cheap price tag. But I was amazed at how nice it is, glass is clear and the green & red illumination are bright. The only drawback is the eye relief has a small range. Otherwise you can't ask any more of a scope under $100. Knobs are tight but loosen up after you use them. It came with zero defects! Wish I could say the same of more expensive scopes I've had to return. . .

I own 4 of these, and this scope is an excellent budget offering. The adjustment rings can be difficult to turn the first time using them, but they smooth out. The optics are very good on all 4 of the ones ive got. They are NOT as crisp as my nicer scopes, but are very, very good for something sub 100 dollars. The turrets are finger click, and fairly positive. they are good enough to get sighted, but i would not try to use the turrets to dial in shots. set it and use the hold over reticle. Ive had two of these on heavier rifles a 30-06, and a 7mm Remington Magnum, and the have held up fine. The CF500 reticle tracks pretty close to both, and with a little practice learning the correct hold over is easy. If there is one major detractor it is that these scopes are fairly heavy, much more so than any of my Nikons, or my similar sized Athlon Argos scopes. They weigh about what my larger 4-20x50Argos weights.Read full review
