Very clear optics. Mounted easily on “Saint” AR-15 rifle with standard design AERO Ultralight mount. Have not “sighted in” yet, or accessed accuracy at different distances & magnifications.

The scope is clear when you set the eye relief in at 6 power, but when you move the scope to 12 power things get blurry. Can't seem to get it set right. Should have bought a Leopold or Burris. Thought I would try a Nikon, My bad.

I bought this scope to put on my hunting rifle. This scope is clear. I have 2 inches off eye relieve. I don’t see any black around the edge when I bring it to my eye at 4x magnification. On the highest magnification I do see the black around the edge but I would almost always use it at 4x. The BDC is easy to use but you have to take the time to research the BDC factor with the type of ammunition you uses and the rifle. You can research BDC at Nikon’s site. I can only compare this scope to 4 others that I have used and this scope is by far the better one. I don’t think you can beat this scope for the price.
First of all I love Nikon Scopes mainly because the eye relief does NOT change when you zoom in or out. I bought this for my Ruger M77 MKII 7mm Reg Mag. because it was 14.1" long and didnt touch the barrel and it is a 4x12 zoom. BDC is absolutly awesome. the theory behind the BDC is simple but true. Love the fact you can go on to the Nikon website and put the scope info and your ammo and weapon info and it will give you the true range of the lower BDC's. I am currently switching out all of my scope to BDC's. I have had many top brands but will only use Nikon for now on. Buy one you will do the same!!!
this is a great scope for all 22lr shooters, I have 2 of them and they put you on target every time, Nikon has an app that is for must bullets make and wt.,, easy to use ,,I have shout out to 200 yds. with this scope on my Ruger 10/22 very well made and Nikon stands behind it ,,, check it out on you tube
