Very nice crossbow for the price on a name brand product. Pros: light, small, compact compared to gigantic recurve crossbows of other makers. Little lighted sight is decent, but I ordered a Nikon Crossbow scope 3x for low light gathering to be able to see small twigs in the arrow path while hunting. Cons: Crossbow attachment to the stock seems a little weak as only one small bolt clamps it in place. Would recommend a bolt thru attachment or even a double bolt to keep recurve perfectly aligned. The toothbrush device that holds the bolt down seems a little weird. Prefer a metal prong type. As with any crossbow, centering the string on the latch is critical for consistent accuracy. Would recommend wrapping dental floss on both sides of string to help visually align and maintain center. I bought for hunting, but due to simple design and light weight, would be a good survival type weapon. Would recommend lighted knocks for hunting to track your bolt flight especially if you like to video your hunts. Carbon express lazer nocks. Also for best accuracy, would recommend small broadheads. Bow came with three aluminum 18" bolts, but 20 inch carbons or aluminums shoot fine. I like heavier bolts for better penetration but you do lose speed. Always aim low on deer type game due to noise (that any crossbow makes). This sound can cause them to duck at the sound of the crossbow and you may shoot over your game, especially past 20 yards. Would like to see possible option of having an aluminum bow on this due to packing the bow in a hot car could cause the fiberglass bow to warp and collapse. Over all, I like this crossbow and for the price, would definitely recommend. Hunt safe, hunt ethical. Good luck.Read full review

I read a lot of reviews and I'm not sure I agree. The scope is NOT as spot on as everyone said. I was using an arrow weight of 447 grains total and when sighted in at 30 yards the arrow was 3" low at 40 and 6" low at 50 yards. I will try a 75 grain field point (400 gr. total) to see if it brings the arrow flight into the scope reticle yardage markers. Other than that, which is my primary concern, the bow is of good quality, and price is acceptable IF the 400 gr. arrows get in line with the yardage markers. Do not try a regular target with this X-bow. The bolts will get so buried in the target, if they don't pass through, that you will not be able to get them out. Spray/wipe a little olive oil, or REM oil, or wax on the arrow shaft so you can pull them out of the target! With so much power I'm concerned about loosing every bolt I shoot at game because I know it's going to do a complete pass through and I'll have to make sure there's not another game animal behind the one I'm shooting or it will get "bolted" as well LOL. They should tell everyone that the first, on top, scope marker is for "20 yards" not 10, but they are supposed to be graduated at 10 yard increments. NOT true with an arrow weight of 447 grains. Weight your arrows with the same weight total you will be shooting, use field points then one practice actual broad-head you will be hunting with at the mid range marker. The arrow weight should be around 400 gr total. Good luck. I'm still sorting this out.Read full review

Tolerance of bolted parts is not so great. Plenty of small misalignment's to correct. The bolts I got for the stirrup were 1" long. Needed 1 3/4" bolts instead. Pretty bad miss on their part, or wrong parts in box. Have not fired this one yet, but fired a friends a number of times. I think my compound bow is more accurate, and more powerful, at least before I became 65 and started to struggle with it. This is one of the better crossbows though. It is compact, fairly quiet and easily drawn. It puts out more power than a mini, and is just about the same size and weight. The scope is ok, but the scope rings are horrible. This is a mil spec rail with square notches, but a set of weaver rings with a small diameter cross rod. On a rifle they would spell failure for sure. Not sure on this bow. Jury is out on that.Read full review

Overall I analyzed this unit comparing machines versus extruded or formed parts and molded versus cast etc. my big beef is that the picatinny rail moves 1/4 up and down and left to right at the tip of the scope. There is only 1 screw to hold it in and it can be easily stripped. Many of the other features are nice but for over $500 each there are just too many portly designed areas . Cams nice Trigger nice Safety nice Rail extruded not so hot Picatinny rail weak flexible and mounts poorly into composite . Who cares about the price if it breaks quickly or is inaccurate . Don't they do a design review? Cycle and field test ? I cannot recommend this as highly reliable or accurate we will see how service and quality respond . But for a brand new unit this is just unacceptable !
