Out of the 14 different Franklin Half Dollars produced from 1950-1963 there are 8 coins that have mintages under 1 million and there are 6 coins with mintages over 1 million. The 1960 Proof Franklin Half Dollar is the 10th coin in line as far as mintage in the series, or one of the more common dates in the Proof Franklin Half Dollar series.
In Proof format without any Cameo or Deep Cameo surfaces it is fairly common up to about PR68 condition. Anything grading higher is very scarce to rare. Examples displaying Cameo surfaces are very scarce overall and in PR69 Cameo or higher, they are rare. Any example displaying Deep Cameo surfaces are much scarcer than non-Cameo or non- Deep Cameo examples. With Deep Cameo surfaces examples are scarce overall and rarer in higher grades of about PR68 to PR69 Deep Cameo.
