As an inexpensive phone this is a great value and works very well to provide for your needs. The battery is a 3000 capacity and can last all day, even seems to get better after a few days, too. The only noticeable of this unlocked AT&T phone is that the AT&T contacts list will not read the SIM card contacts and always hangs up until you hit the back button, then it will load the internal memory contacts as transferred via Google. Placing a phone call will always utilize the AT&T contacts app, so you cannot disable it and just use the Google Contacts app, which works great otherwise and will include the SIM card contacts. So it is a bit confusing and frustrating, but not a huge problem when you know how to get by it. Yet, the phone camera is great, plenty of internal 3gb RAM memory, and it is very fast and functional.Read full review

Unfortunately, the phone I received is one with the screen lock up/fading/flickering issue. Out of the blue when using it, the screen will start flickering and then fade to black and lock up. You have to wait a few moments then tap the power button on the back and hope that it comes back and works long enough to accomplish what you need it for. If I could go back and do it over, I would probably get a different phone than the G3. Do an internet search on the LG G3 fading & flickering screen issue and you will see. Apparently I am not the only one, and so far the Youtube and other posted fixes are not helping. It is a shame because I love the G-series.

I bought this to replace my 3 yr old LG G3 which I bought refurbished. i loved my old phone. My favorite feature is the Knock-On to wake the phone up, no hunting for and pushing a tiny button to get the screen back on. After 3 years, my old phone had developed a dim flash and drained the battery quickly when using the camera. The whole phone was using more power. I'm just hoping this brand new one will work better and last longer. I would have been a loyal LG User, but the G3 seems to be the best model they're going to put out. Too bad, I wanted to get a newer one, but was put off by the changes and lower reviews.

This review was written in 2017 but wasn't published for some reason, so I am doing an update because the information is still valid. I really wanted an LG G3 but the two I got didn't work. The first LG G3 was sold as "new other" but had a "Repaired in China" label inside the case. It had a serious problem with Wifi and Bluetooth ("connection not allowed") so I quickly exchanged it for another LG G3. The second phone was previously owned (definitely NOT "new other") and when Android did an update during initial setup, the phone required a "McAfee Mobile Security" PIN, which a previous owner had set, and the seller didn't know. It also had a problem where the screen would dim and go blank at random times. Except for the McAfee security issue, I found plenty of reports regarding the other problems. Unfortunately, all these problems go along with this particular phone model. I really wanted to like it, but it's too unstable to take a chance on.Read full review
