Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Save on Chorus
I had heard good things about the SCH-1's, but never found one until recently. Considering this was a budget pedal when they were new, it is surprisingly cool. It does a real nice chorus, but twist the knobs a bit and you can dial up a pretty decent Leslie simulation. Of course, the speed doesn't ramp up and down like a Leslie, but if you just need one speed of warble, it can get the job done. The tone knob is a great feature, if you like sparkle, or a thick sound, just turn the knob accordingly. The only downside is the cheesy plastic housing, and crappy knobs. Of course these weren't designed for professional use as they were entry level pedals, so either tread lightly, or use with a pedalboard switcher if you want it to hold up. Honestly, I don't know if they are worth the money they are going for nowdays, but if you are able to find one for under $50, grab it.Read full review

Unlike the Sri Lanka version (SCH-z) which is NOTHING like the SCH-1, the Japanese really struck gold with this circuitry on the SCH-1. There are older pedals that come close, but not quite! Excellent pedal!

I just bought mine this week and hoping to enhance my board with this 80s pedal

80s chorus . very lush and deep. tone control helps to boost loss of high frequencies in the chain. the arion sch1 and schZ are THE best choruses in the 'modern' category meaning - rate is tamed sound warm not fat and not "matallic" like in the IBANEZ cs9 or boss CH1 . i owned many choruses , this are the best sounding to my ears. also mix them with other detune or chorus and you get very nice "tri chorus" tone for cheap.
I have been buying Arion pedals since they came out in the 80's. Some people have complained that they are all plastic, but I have two of these I bought new in the early 80's and they are still working just fine. The electronics from the pedals made in Japan are superb. Not sure about the later models made in Korea, but I would buy them if I needed one. Bottom line is they are a lot of bang for the buck, and quality products as well.
