I am thoroughly enjoying this computer as a back up computer. my main computer is in the basement and sometimes its just too nippy in the den to want to work much down there...so i get out my new laptop and work away. i have wifi which works wonderful. I am stuck on Dells, this was the most reasonable one i could get for the money and it has been working wonderfully. i probably should have gotten more memory for faster speed but i was being a bit cheap. my husband got a different dell laptop and likes his a bit better as far as some of the functions, but i have nothing to complain about. i like the size screen, great for watching videos when we're down at our farm and have no other way of watching a video.
This is a very well built laptop,very sturdy and nice overall appearance. Screen resolution is very good and battery life is excellent. My operating system seems a bit confused,would suggest to upgrade to windows 7 which is compatible with this 2005 model. At a 2005 price of $2500.00 dollars a used one under 200.00 is a steal on Ebay. Not a super fast unit like today's models. Good enough for surfing the internet around the house and other tasks.
I purchased this particular laptop because I needed a computer with Windows XP to run some programs that will not run on Windows 7 or above. The price was right, it arrived in excellent condition. The only problem was getting Windows Explorer to run. I decided to use Chrome Browser and it is working perfectly. So good that I bought another one. The people I purchased it from provided excellent help when I had the Explorer problem and communicated with me regularly until I got it to work.
