Works just like a new one I had before that stopped working.

I ordered this to get another unit that can hook me up to YouTube but this model does not offer YouTube in its lineup of online selections. Had some trouble with getting the unit to hook up to the internet until I discovered that the internal software needed to be updated and I needed to register the unit with Sony first. The Blueray player works excellent now with outstanding video quality.

I figured since Sony created Blu-Ray I might as well get one from them. Bought this unit for my mom during Christmas so she could use Netflix and the blu-ray player. Great device, Menu screen looks just like PS3. The Netflix browsing window is kinda small so I recommend using only larger TVs with it or you will be buying new eyeglasses. Comes with a few channels I never heard of but they do all have good content so overall I'm Happy and my mom loves it.
The Blu-Ray player works great and is much faster at loading movies than my older Sony or older Sanyo Blu-Rays. I can't comment on how great the picture or sound quality is because I have it hooked up to a CRT (old-style cathode ray tube) TV which, of course, is NOT HD. I like this player better than either of the older players which a both about 3-4 years so I'll be swapping it with one that is presently hooked to my Sony Bravia HDTV.
This unit was very easy to set up. However, to get the true expierence from this unit you will need the wireless adapter. (In my case, it cost more then the unit.) The interaction with BAVIA is really cool. Overall, a solid Blu Ray player with MANY features.
