This bow has surprised me in many ways that I did not expect. First before I get into the pros and cons of this bow, let me say I am and always be a lever limb bow lover. I am an Oneida bow nut. However I needed something lighter than my Oneida I had heard that Mathews made a good bow. I found this one and decided to give it a try. Well here is the down and dirty... Pros: 1) the weight of this bow is great. 3.7 Lbs. 2) the length of this bow makes it super easy to move around through the woods, and since I live in the Northeast the brush can be a pain to move through with a full size bow. 3) this bow is very easy to tune and maintain. I was able to replace my string and bus cable very easily and tune it just as easily. 4) The bow is quite forgiving if you have a tendency to torque the grip. 5) the draw length variations are great, you can get this bow to fit so many different shooters that it makes it extremely versatile. Cons: 1) setting up a sight and peep sight can be difficult if you are not familiar with a bow that shoots such a level trajectory at long distances. 2) this bow is wicked loud without limb silencers, string decelerator, and string silencers. Although I am shooting it at its max weight. 3) the cost to buy parts can be a bit prohibitive to repair. But if you are willing to put the time in to search for parts you can get it the parts you need fairly reasonably. This bow is a great bow for the money. It shoots awesome. If you do not have a target that can take the abuse you will get pass through shots a lot. I have had to upgrade my targets to handle the power behind this bow. I also want to share with those looking to buy this bow how I set mine up: HHA Adjustable sight String Splitter peep sight TRU Nock metal D-loop Bohning large kisser button Limb saver solid limb silencers Bernies Dead Stop String Decelerator 3 in. custom overdraw with a NAP 360 capture rest Doinker front stabilizer with silencer Trophy Ridge 5 Arrow Two Piece Quiver Weight set to 70# Draw Length 26 in. The bow was basically a good deal. Although it was mistreated and needed some repair work it is now a totally worthwhile bow. It is easily adjustable for draw length and weight. So, Mathews makes a real nice product.
