Knife is light, handle is wonderfully comfortable, it's sharp, and knife is a perfect length for a multitude of kitchen tasks. My first knife is 2 1/2 years old, no chips, still sharp as hell and I love it. So, bought a second one. Treated the second one same as first: cut only on plastic or wood board, no twisting of blade, no prying, no cutting meat with bones, hand wash only, and no banging on anything that could chip blade. Primarily used to cut tomatoes and onion slices. Result: one chip in blade edge after 3 uses. Question: Is quality consistent? New ceramic formula? Different factory manufacturing blade? I just don't have a clue. My wife is afraid she ate the chip in her food and it will cut her during elimination.

I am still amazed at what feels like a piece of plastic (it's not, it's ceramic) is so scalpel sharp that cuts through ANY food item like a hot knife through butter and stays that way. If it ever does need resharpening, you can just send it back to the factory and they do it for free but frankly these knives are so inexpensive that I would just buy another.

This knife is a replacement for a previous ceramic knife. It is everything I hoped for in a small knife.

I got this to be a dedicated fruit knife, and it's terrific. Slices through limes and lemons with impressive ease.
