I was skeptical when I was looking to buy this gun. I had been searching for an affordable, mid to high level paintball marker that was not going to cost me near $500. I obviously decided used was the best way to go. This gun was a perfect choice for me. Being "used", it fit right into my price range. When I received the marker, I couldn't tell it was ever used at all. The box was still in the plastic wrap, the parts box was in plastic wrap, and the gun didn't have a single mark on it I could see. The gun is extremely comfortable in my hands even for a guy like myself being 6'2". I have used this marker a couple times since I bought it and it is simply amazing. Put a better barrel on it and you have one of the best paintball markers for the money "used". I couldn't be happier with the purchase.Read full review

I received this gun in a thin envelope, in a box, that was crushed. The gauge on the ASA is cracked and has paint behind the lense. Runs through a full hopper pretty decent, cosmetics were the only issue.

I give this a 4/5 because in stock format, it does not perform incredibly well. It is super solid, robust, smooth, reliable, so on, but it just lacks the efficiency and consistency that I believe a marker with this tech can have. That being said, for what you are getting out of the box, this is a pretty incredible platform. There's a phenomenal secondary market for this and unlike most guns, every upgrade makes a massive difference, and they're as cheap as ion parts were back in the day. I love how empire applied the shocker (sft/nxt) formula here because they did it with the perfect gun. This is a great investment (not financially, that's for sure) for someone looking for a worthwhile project or something that will keep them playing for a long time with minimal maintenance. If I were you buying one of these, I'd instantly purchase: Lurker Paintball axe poppet Lurker Paintball or Boss Paintball Products bolt kit FactorPB/Element Paintball Trigger and Critical or Violent threaded trigger pin. For those planning to use it a lot longer or are willing to put down a little more change for something special, check out: Nummech VL Axe frame (the ergonomics on these are AMAZING!!! And they solve some potential problems/make maintenance even easier) Virtue redefined with laser eye board Ion XE threaded Hybrid Hedlok or Q Lock feedneck or Violent axe low pro feedneck, vanquish feedneck The latter set of upgrades are more luxury than performance.Read full review
I've been playing Paintball since 1995. I've seen a lot of markers and companies come and go and the sport evolve. My son needed to upgrade from his Proto SLG and I looked at several "platforms" of markers. For the price the Axe is a great deal! You can get one used for around $200. Super easy to maintain. Quality construction. Nice fast trigger. I would recommend.

I was hesitant to purchase a marker over eBay where I couldn't verify it worked properly. All that changed after I received this marker. It was reasonably priced and looked in great condition. Upon receiving it and looking it over it looked in better shape then I imagined. I've taken it out 3 times for shooting around the backyard and used it once heavily at my local field and it just performs flawlessly. I think I broke two balls total out of 3 cases with not the best paint. Everything I could have asked for! Glad to get into this sport!
