Purchasing bare tool was great to expand existing 12v drill kit. Not construction level heavy duty, but strong enough for what your average joe can do around the house. I used this to drill into masonry and fence posts. Posts became easy and brick broke bits with the regular drill. Great little impact to have for small jobs and tight spaces. Plenty of power don't let the 12volt fool you. This thing drives screws with no problem. I used to think why would I get 12volt when there is 18volt. Not anymore I use 12 volt tools for woodwork and furniture assembly.and other things at the house. That way I don't have to digging through my portable work tool boxes for my 18volt tools. I got this to go with my 12volt Flexiclick set.
