The ZUMO 665 by Garmin/Harley Davidson is a can't loose! Not cheap, but you get what you pay for!! Worth it!! My ONLY disappointment about the 665 is no free map upgrades! They (665 GPS) are a very safe distance from cheap in price, as I stated, and most out there even cheaper by A LOT have free upgrades! The 660 has free upgrades, a nearly identical GPS. The 665 has many options available to you, blue tooth phone compatible, weather, which on a motorcycle is quite handy, XM radio capabilities all which can tie into your bikes headphones or stereo system! It can have problems with XM Nav traffic, but that's stated in the start up book. It will get you to the nearest, or any Harley dealer, gas, food and points of interest you can program in. You can even program it to tell you you need gas and set the miles remaining with what's left in the tank, which with Fuel Injected bikes is very handy, as they have no reserve! The 665 is VERY easy to set up and use, almost don't need the manual, Garmin did well on this being very user friendly! And it will get you where you're going! I am very happy and satisfied with my purchase, and would highly recommend it as a first choice GPS! This is the third Garmin I've purchased, this one the first for a Harley. I wouldn't hesitate purchasing another Garmin if needed!Read full review

I bought a Garmin Zumo 665 because, I wanted to get rid of the remaining wires I had running to my helmet/ headset. I already have a xbi2 Chatterbox system and it works very well with my smartphone and an MP3 player. So I wanted something that would take care of all of that. Plus I was getting XM radio and Weather to boot, on a touch screen display, that is easy to use and read. (I have owned many garmin product before) To my dismay, I am having a couple of issues with it. The Volumes are messed up, The navigation is overly loud and screams in your ear (just like a real woman) yet I have the volume down to 10%, theother volumes on the mixer are maxed out, i.e. the audio for both XM and the MP3 player and the master. As well as the headset is maxed out. And I can't hear the mp3 or xm over the road noise at 70 mph! I have talked with Garmin and am sending the unit in for repair, however, that is really the last thing I wanted to do is send a brand new product in for repair. It happens, I don't like it but it happens. I like the screen size, the fact that it is water resistant (a problem I had with my previous Garmin) I am not real crazy about the mounting system, although it seems to work (the cradle connection thing) I also found out just yesterday that while Garmin is supporting a lot of Different Blackberry's that the 9700 is not on the list so I am assuming (and you know what that means) that the drivers are not in the unit for my 9700, which is why my phone is reported as garbled when I am talking to someone. To pay that much money for a GPS and not have all the stuff working on it is a shame. But like I said Garmin is trying to make it right, and my unit is on the way back to the factory as I write this so I'll see what happens.Read full review
The Zumo 665 has a great screen. The weather radar presentation is lacking in that it loops continuously, you can not stop the loop on the most current image. Also, for some reason they don't use red to depict severe thunderstorm activity. I really like that Garmin gives you the option of shutting off the autozoom. A feature that some of there other units do not have. I also like the situational awareness which is provided, the Zumo actually puts names of major cities on the map while in operate, not just in plan mode. I was disappointed that they removed the satellite screen which shows information about which satellites you are receiving, but they have displayed the general trend of dumbing things down for the user in most all of there models. The audio output levels also seem to be lacking. You have to have the media volume and the master volume maxed out to hear the audio. In one case, while calculating a route from my home in Fort Worth to Los Angeles, the navigation instructions told me to continue on Interstate 30 for 1120 miles. Interstate 30 ends where it joins 20 just outside of Fort Worth, so 20, not 1120 miles. Also, one time it rebooted while calculating a route. So for those two reasons and the missing satellite screen I give it a Below Average.Read full review
I really enjoy the 665. It is very easy to use and easy to plan routes on. TO fine tune them have to use the software from the company, but overall it will give you a great route on its own. I have really enjoyed having it as my MP3 player and the Sirrus/XM. Yes you have to plug it into the aux port but they way it wired with the Harley wire harness it does not look bad at all and I am so enjoying the options for music. The price is hefty, but I like it the ease of use and being able to find my way around with ease. It makes me feel a lot safer when riding in unfamiliar cities.
A good unit if you luck into one that doesn't have a manufactures defect. Read the reviews, some work fine, others have problems. My first one had all the issues noted on the web; second unit, very solid NO issues, works as expected. I'm VERY disappointed with the XM Traffic. The unit doesn't show traffic on Major Streets in Los Angeles (or any major city serviced by XM Traffic) you only get the highways/freeways. Useless when trying to avoid traffic in the city. Regarding the XM subscription, the 'puck' XM antenna is the XM radio so each 'puck' is an additional subscription on XM. If you mount one 'puck' on the bike and another on the car(s), then each 'puck' will cost about $100 a year for XM. Too much I think. If I had it to do again, I'd get a 550 and stream music from my phone via bluetooth or XM (with a web subscription)and have almost all the 'extra' features without the cost. Keep a lookout for a new model; the Zumo 350 was announced about a week after my unit was all wired into my bike/car. RIDE SAFELY !!Read full review
