I have been making models for over 60 years, so I feel I do have some experience here. This kit is very bad and I would not recommend it to anyone. I have always thought that Revell/Monogram had fairly decent kits, although nothing to compare to the new kits available these days. They were "OK" when you could not find anything better. This kit really misses the mark! The molded details are very good, but the fit is horrible. Very old school molding with a lot of flashing and pin marks. Some areas were almost transparent, they were so thin. Warpage was a real issue and very hard/impossible to correct. I really wanted to construct this particular model, so I wound up purchasing two kits to see if the issues were due to age or storage, but I found that they were just molded that way. The clear plastic parts were the worst fitting. The plastic itself was very soft and hard to work with also. I finally just gave up building this model, which is the first time I have ever done that. After spending several weeks on it, I decided I could never get the results I would like to give this as a gift, which was my original purpose.Read full review

This was my first attempt at a helicopter. It turned ok for a beginner.... I guess. But it was a disappointment from the start. The plastic is so thin u can almost read a news paper through it. Horrible fit everywhere w/ a ton of cobbling. It was difficult to airbrush due to the window placement. some mounted inside & some on the outside. A poor design by Revell. The rear doors must be mounted in an open position. If they were mounted closed there would be huge gaps to fill all around them. The one saving grace were the decals. They slid into place easily w/ plenty of time for adjustment. With all that said, I don't think I'll attempt another Helicopter for a long time. Definitely not this kit. I hope this review was helpful.

Don't believe what the above reviewer wrote this is not a microscopic model and will not fit on a key chain. At this 1:48 scale, 1/4 inch represents 1 foot. The built model is approx. 11" long.

Exactly what I needed..spare parts (crew figures) for another helicopter in a VietNam diorama. The actual kit can be used as background wreckage in same scene. Great proce and provided parts I needed.

Great kit form the past. Probably one of the most accurate kits of the UH-1C in any scale. Fairly easy to assemble and finish. Will look great in any collection.
