This watch is perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. I work in an office for a service company, so I needed something that was dressy, but I could get away with in the field or warehouse. The watch face isn't too large, which was something I was looking for. I looked at the nice special ops watches, but they looked like you had a tablet strapped to your wrist. The best feature is that this watch charges itself as you move your arm/hand. No batteries or electric charging. Sharp black color will match any outfit. Sturdy, leather band seems like it will last a very long time. The 'see through' back of the watch itself let's you peek into the amazing craftsmanship of Seiko. And the best part of this watch is the price!! It's suggested retail is $450. I would easily pay $300 if that was cheapest option. It's absolutely worth it. Luckily for me, it wasn't the cheapest option. If you find this watch for under $200, then pat yourself on the back, you found a great deal. If you find it for under $150, as I did, it will be one of the best purchases of your lifetime. Go ahead, treat yourself. You deserve it.Read full review

First this watch does not has a "compass". I has N,S,E,W on the bezel so you can use the old trick of aiming the hour hand at the sun and moving S between the hour hand and noon. This leaves us to the big problem with this watch: the third hand. The third hand points at a ring of small numbers denoting military 24 hour time. The theory is you can wait till the sun is at its highest point and look at the mlitary time set to GMT. Or you could use the third hand to hand a two time zone watch. The problem, and its a deal breaker is, many time during the day the hand overlap each other creating a visual muddle. The third hand is the same size as the hour hand. How many times I've been asked the time and I've been stumped to immediately say without sorting out the hands. Its a deal breaker for me. As for the military time, its so small its difficult to determine which number your on. Not a deal breaker but a design flaw. So you end up with a watch --hard to read, cluggy manual location finder, but hey nice looking on your wrist.Read full review

This watch is great value as a similar time piece in Australia costs a lot more. The dual time function is just what i was looking for in a analogue watch as I travel quite a lot and the ability to tell the time at home is great.

The Kinetic watches are overall very nice, just know that it can take a while to "wind" them enough for the watch to function correctly. At least 400 rotations, probably closer to 600. But, once you have it basically wound, it charges the kinetic battery for a few days. The longer you wear it the more charge the battery builds up to about 30 days.
