A good reel if you only use it once a week or month. I fish 3 times a week and have only had the reel for a short time and have had good luck with it so far. However after taking the cover off and examining the take up spool cover I already see that the nylon fishing line is starting to cut into the metal and will start to hang up on the cast in a few months. Not an unusual problem for many reels that I have used as the metal is too soft. JD

You should be able to access the reel casing to clean and oil inside but the screws to the casing have either been applied too tight or the alloy the screws are made of is too soft. I purchased 2 and have only been able to use 1 so far, I'm in the process of returning the second one twice now. The screws strip immediately when you turn them.

I've used only this model for years. Its only flaw is, the line wears a groove in the rotor at the pickup stylus and I have to replace the rotor. I fish a lot and eventually completely wear them out.
