Good driver. liked it over my burner superfast 2.0. hot face, goes far with easy swing. have since discovered Adams F!!. the Titleist and the Taylormade are now gone! Buy an F11 new with an Ozik shaft for half the cost of a used 910. i've hit most of the name brand drivers and longdrive heads over the years. so far the Adams F11 is at least tied for the best. LONG and accurate!! and if you buy the DFS F11 you can adjust head. just can't go wrong with the Adams. Sadlowski swings Adams for some reason. i now know why.
I've been playing a certain brand of driver since 1987 the first with a steel head, then the first with the adjustable head. Always good results, but I tried a friends 910 D3 with stiff shaft and hit it great, esp. into the strong FL heavy air. I was getting 20 more solid yards. Grant you I was playing a senior shaft at the time with a 9* head. The 910 was 9.5* and with a stiff, low to mid launch shaft. Either way I purchased one on line. It's great even with the stiff shaft, I had no problem. They only thing negative is the adjustments the other brand is simple, this you better carry a chart in your pocket.
I like to buy and try a lot of different drivers and actually build my own clubs (shaft replacement, frequency matching, etc). I am a self proclaimed 'golf geek'. This is just my 2 cents on this club, but if you are looking for a new driver, you owe it to yourself to at least give this one a shot! I have been a TaylorMade guy and owned every single Taylor Made driver since the R7 425. Drives me nuts that they come out with a new driver every 4 months. Even though I had all the TM drivers, I keep going back to my 07 Burner TP driver as a reference, as I dont think TM has made one as good since that driver. I don't think I will ever let that driver go! I like my 07 TP, but I want the adjustabilty and ability to have the club setup for me. I still cannot get used to the white club heads. Titleist did a real nice job giving you the adjustability feature yet keeping it somewhat hidden. Tried the Titleist 910 Series at the local range and it was love at first strike! Hit a few shaft and head combinations and below is my opinion. Both clubs were tested in the A1 (neutral/square setup and true loft) position. The 910 D2 is very forgiving and very straight. The sound is solid and a little muted. Everything sounded like a center hit. The best way that I can describe the feel of the club is to compare it to a center strike on a forged iron.... buttery but powerful. The D2 seems to produce more spin, as it produced a slightly higher ball flight than the D3 with the same shaft. Very traditional, clean look. Hard to believe they got that much forgiveness in such a traditional looking head. I guarantee it is as long as any club on the market, even though the shaft felt shorter than a TM (I dont know what they actually measure out to). The 910 D3 looked a little smaller from the face to the back of the crown. It felt and sounded a little more metallic. I only noticed a slight difference in forgiveness. The D3 definitely produces a lower ball flight. I typically prefer a 73g Diamana whiteboard, but also found the RIP 60 is a pretty nice shaft. In the end, I personally feel this is the best driver titleist has produced in years. I originally went with the 910 D2 in an 8.5* loft with the ahina shaft, which is a full 1* stronger than I usually play. I went with this beacause of the higher ball flight on the D2 and the fact that I can increase the loft up to 10* by adjusting the hosel, so I can fall back to the increased loft if needed. The D2 just had too much spin for me so I went to the D3, and have a 60g RIP, Diamana Whiteboard 73g and a graphite design Pershing shaft for it. Great club! Hope this info helps!Read full review
This is by far the best driver I have ever used. I had the 909D3 and it was a great driver, but I wanted the adjustable hozel the 910 offered. I haven't noticed a great deal of distance gain maybe 10 yards, but it is much more accurate. I am convinced that is due to the adjustable features. I also went with the Matrix Ozik shaft upgrade which I am very impressed by. I wouldn't recommend this combination for everyone, you need significant club head speed and want a lower boring flight. I would however recommend giving the 910D2 or 910D3 a try. With the right loft and shaft options anyone can find one that works for them. Also, I liked it so much I bought the Fairway Metal 2 days after I received the Driver.
I play golf with a handicap of 7. I had not played for 6 years and was just starting to play again. My old clubs were so out of date with the technology of today i decided to update and grab the driver with the best reviews. This happened to be the Titleist 910 D3 8.5' with an Adila Rip (Red Eyes)Stiff shaft. Looking around Australia the best i could get it for was $490. Checked out Ebay and found Diehardsports in the good old USA had exactly what i wanted delivered to me for $380. It turned up 7 days later (Superfast). This driver and shaft is pure Eye Candy and i took it to the driving range straight away. The first 3 shots were between 250m to 270m dead straight. Wow i thought "Its the driver i always wanted". The next 3 went along the ground, then a few to the left, couple to the right, You know golf.I messed around with the settings as this club has 16 different lie and loft settings for Higher,Lower,Draw or Fade. Now i've had the club for a few months i love it. Average distance would be about 260m with some boomers out to 290m. Great club, awesome sound on contact, looks hot and just makes you confidant over the ball.I may decide to get the x-stiff shaft later but i cannot recommend this club highly enough.Read full review
