When I was able to buy a new set, I put a lot of time in researching what clubs would best suit my swing. I decided on the Adams Idea a70S Max Hybrid set. I had one hybrid in my last set and loved it, so I thought a full set of hybrids would be what I wanted. Oh yeah! That was a good move for me. I am still a young man(38) but can not generate a lot of club head speed. These clubs are great for me because of that. A smooth swing works a lot better than a power stroke with these clubs. It took about 3 1/2 rounds before I figured out how to properly set up with these clubs, but once I found the sweet spot, I really saw a difference in my ball flight. Although I am still getting used to hitting that sweet baby draw. It is so nice to watch the ball gently curl towards the left instead of turning on the right blinker and heading into no mans land. I think for now, though, I will keep my old sand wedge in the bag. I started to get the feeling that these clubs were for seniors after reading some reviews, and that might be the case. But they work well for me and thats really all that matters. I also got the Speedline 10 Driver and Fairway woods and could not be happier. Also recently added a new Rife putter. Awesome putter!Read full review
I am a 67 year old golfer with about a 16 or 17 handicap. I love the feel of the A7os Max iron set. The moment I picked one up it felt just right for my slow swing speed. I had been using Cleveland HB3 irons, however I like the fact that Adams has more of a regular looking 7 thru PW. I don't feel I need a hybrid club in that range. The Adams club seem to have less side spin which for me means straighter shots. I just added an Adams 15 degree black super hybrid, since my set didn't come with a 3 iron and I couldn't find an inexpensive one for my set. So far so good. Love the A7os Max set though.
Prior to the A7OS MAX I had the A3OS. I think it's an excellent set which included 3 -6 hybrids. I could never hit the ball the way I do with these clubs. I'm an honest 18 handicap and they are really helping my game improve and I'm very happy with them. I did a lot of research prior to buying these and think Adams makes a top quality club. I compared these to the Ping G15 which is also a game improving club. Though I hit the ball straight with both I got an extra 15 to 20 yards with the A7OS. With that in mind I stayed with Adams. I liked the clubs so much I bought a friend a set and he loves them as well. There is nothing I dislike about them. They have a large sweet spot and seem to be very forgiving.
OMG I can't believe I didn't already do this! I bought this product based on several factors but the main reason is that I was looking for improved distance and accuracy as I am getting older and nearing retirement. These hybrids are AWESOME!!! They swing much easier than my old Callaway irons and hodgepodge of fairway woods andn they have proven to be all I was looking for. I am now hitting the #4 hyrid farther than I was hitting my Olimar #3 wood and I am becoming dealy accurate hitting close to 85% of the greens inn regulation and closer to the pin then I have ever been. From the first time I picked one of these hybrids up it felt comfortbale and the swing weight was perfect. The graphite shafts are easy to swing and have zero vibration when hitting any shot even those occassional duffer off center ones. These are by far the best clubs I have ever owned in my 32 years of playing golf and my handicap is once again lower than the number of clubs I carry.Read full review
The set includes hybrids 7-4 and irons S-8. Not much difference in distance between this set and my Ping V1 Raptures but the ball flies higher. For the hybrids, sensitive to ball position, too much back of center and the ball tends to go right big time, never had that problem with my Pings. Sand wedge on the other hand, has to be played back in your stance for chipping, club feels light. I prefer my Cleveland sand wedge for chipping because it can be played forward, middle and back with face open or closed depending on the height desired. Otherwise the clubs are okay, I really like the hybrid 7.
