I've always like the program and enjoyed the DVD set. All episodes appear as they were originally broadcast. The only problem that I have is that the DVDs are actually DVD-Rs. That leaves the opportunity for deterioration over time. Other than that, the set is well worth getting.

Before Dark Horse, Image, Valiant or any modern day alternative to D.C. and Marvel Comics, there was 'Hanna Barbara'.!! They created their own unique Super Heroes that invigorated Saturday Mornings for kids. Space Ghost, Frankenstein Jr., Impossibles, Herculoids were a breath of fresh air to the standard brands people were accustomed to. 'Hanna Barbara' also helped Marvel bring 'the Fantastic Four' into children's living rooms. No political correctness here. Just good 'ol imagination and action. " Frankenstein Jr., Impossibles are the least violent and perfectly safe for small ones ...Space Ghost, Herculoids, Johnny Quest tend to be for older children 10+ since they delve into more violence (basically explosions, people getting struck) however- nothing on the gory scale like Japanese cartoons..Check these out.Read full review

This show debuted when Hanna-Barbera really started to assert themselves as the KINGS of Saturday morning cartoons in the mid 1960's. Every year, it was show-after-show of KILLER quality cartoons! Their animation and character concepts were THE BEST of all of the Saturday shows that I watched, even though most of them lasted only 1 season. The guiding principle at H-B seemed to be "have fun" & if you're familiar with their shows, you can really see why I say this. These are the brilliant minds behind Scooby Doo, Wacky Races, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear, Space Ghost & many, many more! Frankenstein Jr. was kind of a crazy concept where the kid was the futuristic scientific genius behind his robot buddy. The voice of the Addams Family's Lurch (Ted Cassidy) was a fantastic choice that made Frankie sound even better than he looked! The Impossibles were a goofy Rock 'n Roll band that doubled as Super Heroes with their wacky powers. Coil-man, Fluid-man & Multi-man tackled an even wilder assortment of goofy Super Villains to make the world safe, again! If you like classic 60's Hanna-Barbera cartoons, then you'll really enjoy this one!Read full review
Multi-Man, Coil Man and Fluid Man still make me laugh out loud! Great fun and adventure with Saturday Morning Super heroes! And I love the Impossible's battle cry, too.. LOL.
