Good processor in the mid range class,it has good multithreading performance,still this particular processor in Windows looks more like a six threaded ALU unit+a three threaded FPU thing! However,the single core/thread performance it's the Achilles heel,it is the weak single-core performance of the Bulldozer architecture that makes us one massive technological sad-face because the Bulldozer is definitely not being able to properly compete with the modern Core i5 processor. Price wise it is very cheap now and do to the possibility of unlocked multiplier can easily compete even with the older and more expensive Phenom 1045T,from my personal testing experience 3DMARK2011 for a Radeon HD7970 or a GTX 660 TI paired with 990FX shows us a difference of minus -550-600 3Dmarks between the better 1045T clocked at 4GHZ versus the FX-6100 running 4.5GHZ full speed. After three years there is still no six core AMD processor out there that can beat the mighty 1100T in terms of gaming performance and that is a very sad thing! Got this CPU to finish off a cheap, good performing PC. Works real fast with a standard CPU heat sink cooler with fan. I ended up giving this PC to my sister in law and she loves it.
